Why people call us

Most people do not change accountants because something went wrong.

They change because nothing was ever proposed. The return arrived, the fee was paid, and nobody ever said “here is what we would do differently next year.”

We are built the other way round. Planning happens while the year is still open, bookkeeping closes on a schedule you can set a watch by, and if a letter arrives from the IRS, the person who prepared the return is the person who answers it.

Sound familiar?

  • You only hear from your accountant in March, and only about paperwork.
  • Nobody has ever shown you what your entity structure actually costs you.
  • The books are behind, and the longer it goes the worse it feels.
  • A notice arrived and you are not sure whether it is serious.
  • You are paying tax on profit you never saw as cash.
  • You want the numbers explained in English, not in jargon.

If more than one of these is true, a thirty-minute call will probably be worth your time.

What we do

One firm for the whole financial side of your business

Tax, accounting, payroll and advisory under one roof — which means the numbers on your return, your books and your forecast are always the same numbers.

Individual & Business Tax Preparation

Every return we file is prepared by a licensed professional, reviewed by a second set of eyes, and walked through with you before it is signed. No surprises in April, no letters in October.

Learn more

Proactive Tax Planning & Strategy

Planning is the part of the work that actually moves the number. We model your year while there is still time to change it — and show you, in dollars, what each decision is worth.

Learn more

IRS & California FTB Representation

An Enrolled Agent holds unlimited rights of practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Sign a Form 2848 and every letter, every call and every deadline becomes ours to manage.

Learn more

Bookkeeping & Monthly Close

Reconciled every month, closed on a schedule, and delivered with a short note explaining what changed. Not a shoebox reconstructed in March.

Learn more

Payroll & Worker Classification

Running payroll is the easy part. Staying on the right side of the EDD, wage orders, sick-leave accrual and worker classification is where employers actually get hurt.

Learn more

Business Formation & Entity Structuring

The entity you register and the way it is taxed are two separate decisions. Most people make only the first one, and pay for it every year afterwards.

Learn more

Outsourced CFO & Financial Advisory

Forecasting, margin analysis, pricing and capital decisions — the work a full-time CFO would do, scaled to a business that does not need one full time.

How it works

Four steps, and you know the fee before step two

No hourly meter, no invoice that arrives bigger than the conversation. You approve a fixed fee before any work starts.

01

A real conversation

Thirty minutes, free. Bring last year’s return. We look at what is actually happening and tell you what we would do.

02

A fixed quote

Scope and price in writing before anything begins. If we do not think we can add value, we will say so.

03

Onboarding that works

Secure portal, a checklist built for your situation, and a named accountant who learns your business.

04

All year, not one month

Monthly close, quarterly check-ins, planning in the autumn while there is still time to change the outcome.

Who we help

We know what your industry actually gets audited for

Generic accounting advice is worth roughly what it costs. These are the sectors we work in most, and the specific things that go wrong in each one.

Construction & Trades

Profit hides at the job level. If your accounting stops at the company P&L, you are guessing about which work is worth taking.

How we help

Restaurants & Food Service

Restaurants run on two numbers — food cost and labour cost — and a month-old P&L is far too late to act on either.

How we help

Trucking & Logistics

Cost per mile is the whole business. Everything else is commentary.

How we help

Real Estate & Property

Depreciation, basis and participation status decide the after-tax return — long before the tenant pays rent.

How we help

Local, and not only local

Based in Azusa. Working with clients across California and the country.

The office is on West 5th Street, ten minutes from the 210 and a short walk from the Metro A Line. Most clients work with us remotely — but plenty still prefer to sit down with a person.

Our Enrolled Agents are licensed federally, so we file and represent clients in every state. And because Azusa is the community we work in, Spanish-language service runs through the whole engagement — not just the first phone call.

Serving

Also serving El Monte, Rosemead, Temple City, Sierra Madre, Claremont, Pomona, Diamond Bar, Walnut and the wider San Gabriel Valley.

No recycled newsletter filler. These are the questions clients actually ask us, answered properly.

Payroll & Compliance 8 min read

An EDD letter arrived. Here is what actually happens next.

Most California employers who get audited for worker classification did not think they were doing anything wrong. Here is how the process works, what the ABC test really asks, and the decisions that matter in the first week.

Questions

The things people ask before they call

If yours is not here, the full FAQ goes deeper — or just ask us directly.

Book a free consultation — by phone, video or in person at our Azusa office. We look at your last return, understand what you need, and quote a fixed fee before any work begins. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

We quote fixed fees, agreed before work starts, rather than billing by the hour. The figure depends on the complexity of your situation — a single-owner Schedule C is not a multi-state partnership — which is why we look at your actual documents first rather than publishing a price list that would be wrong for most people.

No. Most of our clients work with us entirely remotely through the client portal and video meetings. The office at 1151 W 5th Street is open if you would rather meet in person, and many local clients do.

An Enrolled Agent is licensed directly by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and specialises exclusively in taxation, with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS in any state. A CPA is licensed by a state board and covers a broader field including audit and assurance. For tax work and IRS representation the practice rights are identical. We have both on the team.

Treat it as urgent until proven otherwise — most notices carry a 30-day response window, and missing it costs you appeal rights. Send us the letter and we will read it and tell you what it really means, at no charge. Note that the IRS opens contact by mail, never by phone, text or email.

Documents live in an encrypted client portal rather than in email, access is restricted to the team members working on your engagement, and we maintain a written information security programme as required of tax professionals under IRS Publication 4557 and the FTC Safeguards Rule.

Let’s find out what you should actually be paying.

Thirty minutes with an advisor, at no charge. Bring last year’s return and we will tell you plainly what we would do differently — and what it would cost.
